DOWN's REX BROWN Interviews BLACK SABBATH's GEEZER BUTLER For BASS GUITAR Magazine

December 14, 2007

In a world first, DOWN/ex-PANTERA bassist Rex Brown has adopted the role of journalist for the UK's Bass Guitar magazine. Interviewing his hero, the legendary HEAVEN AND HELL/BLACK SABBATH four-stringer Geezer Butler, Brown asks about the influences, gear and experiences that have shaped Butler's career. Brown himself is also interviewed in the magazine about his bass style and career in PANTERA and DOWN.

The Geezer and Rex features form part of Bass Guitar magazine's special issue devoted to rock and metal, which also includes interviews with Duff McKagan of VELVET REVOLVER, Dickie Peterson of BLUE CHEER and John Lawhon of BLACK STONE CHERRY, as well as a tribute to the life and work of the late THIN LIZZY bassist Phil Lynott.

The magazine is available now from all the usual outlets.
